Route Notes Abbotts, Allen, Ms. Armitage, Chapman, Fruish, Ms. Koch, Pasang, Lhakpa Tenzi and Mingmar Sherpa left ABC at 6:15 am on 14 May. The team reached summit at 10:30 am, stayed on summit 30 minutes, descended to BC at 3 pm. During summit climb the weather was very cold but good enough for climbing. Could see where they were going and coming. The expedition leader returned Kathmandu on 26 May. Members on 27 from Pokhara and all will leave on 30 May. Chapman said that his expedition collected nine sacks of garbage from BC, scattered all over the places of Japanese expedition of last October. Garbage mainly were cans, food, magazines, etc. Chapman is planning to come back next year to climb in Dolpo. Fixed rope 200m on the icy section of 40 degrees just above the ABC.
