Route Notes Jomsom-Kagbeni-Tangbe; at Tangbe, people said necessary to go to Tsarang, where a valley leads to SE to Bhrikuti (Damodar Kund and its Khola). Left Tangbe on 20th on which weather, changed to rain, then snow and cold strong wind - crossed four 4000m passes between Tangbe and Tsarang, which reached on 23rd after 1-1/2 days of snow. 24th also bad weather and 25th evening at Tsarang decided not to go farther. Tsarang is 3500m altitude and BC would be 4800m & way not possible for poorly clad porters in such weather. On 26th stayed one more day at Tsarang but left there on 27th to retraced steps to Jomsom. Arrived KTM 2 April. Bhrikuti is ESE of Tsarang, farther north on border than location given on Nepal central sheet map of HMG. As seen from Tsarang, it looks difficult with difficulties all on the North Face.
