Route Notes Approach: Bus to Jomsom->Jeep to Chuksang, then Gyeling->tractor to Tangye, walked to Makhar, then Khumjungar BC (by a 5000m pass; Khumjungar BC wrongly located on Nepali maps, as it lies on the left side of the river and not on the right side – in river sense). The team had more success than previous year, having learned the lessons for the approach and acclimatization march, and having 6 more days left in their schedule for climbing. The team first tried on Bhrikuti West Ridge, doing the first attempt on 10 May, reaching 6000m from C1 and stopped by bad weather. The team went back to sleep at C1 for a new attempt the next day. On 11 May at 11:30 am, the team reached a col (marked 6217m on Nepali maps) in very warm conditions. Pedro Guedes contracted eye blindness there, so they decided to come back down to BC with Guedes feeling better from C1 already. After 2 days rest, the team decided to climb Futi Himal (via NW Glacier to SE Ridge of Futi Himal via Lena Peak (6325m)) as the route was less long than the one for Bhrikuti. On 14 May slept at C1 again, then slept at C2 the day after. On 16 May, the team started from C2 at 4:30 am, reached the summit of Lena Peak at 11:15, then Futi Himal at 11:45 am, then came back to C2 at 1:30 pm, cleaned it, then left C1 at 4 pm after cleaning everything and eventually reached BC at 7 pm. The day after the team left BC for Tangye; the day after used a tractor back to Shusangye, then by jeep to reach Jomsom. Oxygen: took a 4 liters emergency bottle at C1 in case of medical emergency, but not used
