Route Notes TBC at junction of Barun Glacier and glacier from East Col ABC at snout of East Col's glacier C1 at West Col High point at 6200m just above North Col East Col= Col at 6100m opposite to West Col across lower Barun Glacier. Pilkington tried to carry to E Col but load too heavy, dumped it & got sirdar to help establish 27 Oct ABC by 3 members. Till 31st Pilkington & Sutcliffe carried loads from ABC to East Col (Jinks not acclimatizing) & both Pilkington & Sutcliffe not well enough aclimatized for alpine-stule climb. 1st Nov Sutcliffe & Pilkington moved ABC camp to E Col & made it C1. 2nd Nov, Sutcliffe not well acclimatized but Pilkington carried to W Col & made depot here. Wanted to establish camp there, but from W Col towards ridge snow too deep for progress by unacclimatized person & from W Col 25m only & back to E Col where Pilkington & Sutcliffe spent 2nd night. 3rd Nov decided level of acclimatization not good enough (Jinks only at BC now). To BC on 4th & left it 5th.
Accidents Nothing serious but members never acclimatized well
