Route Notes BC west-northwest of Barun Pokhari ABC on moraine northeast of Sherpani Col C1 between points 6260m & 6480m on Schneider map C2 at snowhole in crevasse in flat snowfield before South Ridge really starts. Had biv site before C1. On 3 May made summit bid from C2. Left at 5:00 am reached high point at 11:30 am. Ridge there started narrowing greatly with soft snow on one side and heavy cornices on other, so decided not to risk this section and turned back. Possible alternative routes around this but didn't feel they had time to try. Had spent more time on approach march than expected.
