Route Notes BC 12/10 5100m C1 15/10 6000m (near West Col) C2 16/10 6500m HPt 25/10 6700m (above C2 all members) Climb abandoned on: 25/10 due to avalanche danger. Main objective of team was to climb Chamlang. They attempted Baruntse for acclimatization. Their base camp for both attempts was at 5100m. On 17/10 they received a weather forecast indicating a period of good weather. First summit attempt on Baruntse on 17/10. But the wind was too strong and they decided to come down. A couple of days rest at BC and they explored the beginning of the North Face of Chamlang, their main objective. Second attempt on Baruntse on 25/10. They started from C1 at 2 am and reached high point at 6700m at 4:30 am. They decided to turned back because of avalanche danger. Back to BC the same day at 2 pm.
