| Route Notes | BC 24/04 5450m C1 26/04 6140m (West Col) HPt 29/04 6200m by Benegas, Fox, Evensen Climb abandoned on 30/04 due to too much snow. After having climbed Mera Peak team headed to Baruntse BC, but there was too much snow and the conditions were too dangerous. Fixed rope: 600m to West Col Oxygen: not taken, not used Damian Benegas via FB message: From West Col was no one except lots of garbage from previous expedition. We fixed to West Col on the 26 April, C1 (6140m.) Then it started snowing. On 29 April, we tried to head to C2, but bad weather and after reading snow conditions we figured out that the avalanche danger was too high. On the 30 April we decided to pull the plug. |
