Route Notes From Andre Moine blog: Finally, on 3 November by twenty degrees and clear skies, we begin, around 3:30, the ascent of Baruntse from camp 2. Using our crampons and ice axes to our, we are moving on steep slopes our main goal. Step by step, naturally focused on our movements and our breathing necessarily, we are moving slowly but steadily. After four hours of effort (600 vertical meters), we are on the summit ridge. After the last jump, a sharp snow ridge and impassable farm access to the summit. Despite this small frustration, we share our excitement about this secondary top by familiar hugs and broad smiles: spontaneous awareness - then developed - to have reached this "seven thousand," major goal of our expedition.
