Route Notes Deep snow on approach to BC, 2 members helicoptered out. BC was covered with snow and water. Not above BC for members and Sherpas. After having climbed Mera Peak with another group, Erroz and Evensen crossed the Amphu Laptsa and went to Baruntse base camp. However, Evensen was not really motivated as initially there would have been four clients, but his friends had cancelled prior to the expedition, so he was just on his own. Furthermore Erroz thought that BC was too far away from the headwall and too dirty. Erroz by email on 7 June: "Where we've been, it is really bad. Our BC was very long way to wall, and so dirty. But I know there is another BC higher. Just 30 minutes more, so next time I will go there."
