Route Notes	The two-member team, man and wife, first climbed Mera Peak (summited it on 22 October) and then proceeded to Baruntse. They made their BC at the usual site near the lake at 5300m on 25 October. On the 27th, when Jane Riga, was not feeling well, Tarmo Riga went alone to about 6000m at the bottom of the west side of the West Col to deposit gear for C1, and returned the same day to BC. Jane Riga's vision had become blurred and she had a feeling of pressure inside her head; perhaps she was in the early stage of cerebral edema. For this reason, as well as because the mountain was covered with powder snow, bad weather was now forecast, and it was getting quite cold (-15 C at BC), they decided on the 27th to abandon the climb. They left BC on the 28th by helicopter from BC to Lukla and flew by plane to Kathmandu on the 31st.
