Route Notes On the 7th October, Mehdi went alone for a deposit of gear (food, ropes etc) at C1. As soon as he came at the bottom of the corridor leading to C1, the wind was just too strong so he deposited all his gear here at 5800m. On the 8th October, Mehdi climbed alone again to find his equipment partly eaten by the crows, but continued anyway up to C1 for sleeping there, with just some energetic bars to eat. On the 10th October, both climbed up to their bivouac place (6426m according to their GPS), Robin feeling some pain to his knees. On the 11th of October, Robin feeling very badly with his knees (inflammation) decided to retreat to the BC. Even in good shape for the summit, Mehdi decided to go down with his teammate. Both were the first to climb for the summit, with no tracks at all, in an alternatively wind-hardened or soft snow (sometimes up to just under the knees). They had just one attempt left by their schedule. Mehdi reported that when they left (on the 13th of October), the Seven Summit Adventure Sherpas were 200m close from the summit (their team consisting in 7 Russians + 3 Sherpas), their clients going up for C1 that same day. Summit expected on the 16th or 17th of October. Apparently 2 Czech people (with Snowy Horizon) were blocked during one week in bad weather on the mountain, waiting to be heli-rescued.
