Route Notes BC near lake (normal site) C1 on east side of West Col C2 100m below SE Ridge. The 14 member expedition sent 11 members and seven Sherpas to the summit, all on the same day. They were Bargferde, Coster, David Doutney, Graham, Horton, Kiriakakis, Maher, Mazur, Pattison, Skrede, Tomordy, Sherpas Jangbu, Lhakpa Nuru, Lhakpa Tendu, Maya, Pasang, Sange and Tenji. They set out from C2 at 5:30 am, early in the morning to avoid strong wind. All reached the summit at various times: the first to the top were Jangbu and Lhakpa Nuru at 10:05 am fixing rope, while members were there between 10:40 am (Graham, Horton, Maher, Pattison and Skrede) and 12:45 am (Mazur). The members who spent that night in C2 were Bargferde, Coster, Doutney, Kiriakakis, Mazur and Tomordy, and Lhakpa Nuru stayed with them. They got back to C2 between 5:30 and 7:00 pm. All the the other summiters, who were the fastest, continued down to C1 at 2:00 pm. Everyone was together in BC on the 31st. Non-summiting memebrs Currie reached C2's site on 28 October and immediately descended to BC because a surgical site on his body was bleeding.
