Route Notes On 17 May Duck, Pears, Pophan, Pema Chhiri, Buddha Singh and Tendi Sherpa left C2 at 3 am and reached 7000m around 9:30 am. It was cloudy. The team found difficulty in climbing and decided to stop and to descend to C2 where they arrived at 11:30 am; had a rest for a while then to C1 at 4 pm. Next day to BC. Armstrong climbed up to C1 on 16 May; he felt lack of energy and went back to BC. Dean and Khan came up to BC; both did not want to try to climb and left BC on 16 May. The team returned to Kathmandu on 25 May. Duck and Pophan left Kathmandu on 26 May. Rest of members will leave on 29 May. Fixed rope: 250m on West Col below C1.
