Route Notes Van der Plas, Verburgh, Da Chhemba Sherpa and Ang Dorje left C2 at 5 am on 27 Oct. About 10 am they reached 6850m where they found a big crevasse on the ridge. There was no fixed rope and team did not have enough ropes to fix it; without fixing rope it was very difficult to go across the crevasse. The team decided to give up climbing and descended to BC. Maltha went up to C1 on 21 Oct. She suffered from stomach problem and did not climb further. Peeters left expedition on 6 Oct from Tognag due to knee problem. Timmermans went up to 5500m, got headache and descended to BC on 19 Oct. Van Berkesteijn went up to 6100m on 21 Oct. His legs became unbalanced not because of altitude but of a disease he has. He said the problem of imbalance occurred to him at sea level as well. The team returned to Kathmandu on 8 November and will leave on 11th. Sherpas: Ang Dorje Sherpa, 12-8-1968, Garima-5, Solu Da Chhemba Sherpa, (15-10-2024), Gudel-5, Solu, Everest 2003/UK, 2004/Tibet/Japanese 2007, Cho Oyu X2, Baruntse 2000 & 2003
