Route Notes Gregor Rex, Van Mulken, Pema and Lhakpa left C2 at 4:15 am. Weather was calm and clear. Van Mulken turned back at 6500m at 6 am due to feeling unwell. Rex and 2 Sherpas got to bottom of Mushroom and even though it would have been doable, they turned back as Rex was feeling unwell. They descended to BC where Van Mulken arrived at 1 pm and Rex with Sherpas at 2 pm. Kuoni reached 6500m on 30 Oct. He went on reconnaissance and descended to BC the next day. He did not feel like climbing anymore. Christine Rex reached C1 on 27 Oct. She did not stay the night. She found the trip to C1 too exhausting and decided to abandon climb. Simons reached BC on 24 Oct. She did not feel well and after she had developed symptoms of pulmonary edema. She was flown to Kathmandu on 25 Oct. She flew back to Zurich two days later.
