Route Notes Approach: Tumlingtar, Bhotebas, Num, Seduwa, Tashigaon, Kauma, Dosato, Jangrikharka, Merikhark, Hillary BC, Makalu BC, Korean BC, Sherpani Col BC. Barelli, Castelnuovo and Erba left C2 on Oct 24 at 04:00 hours for summit. They reached to 6850m at 12:00 hours. There was waist deep snow. It was not possible for the team to continue farther so turned back to BC where they reached around 19:00 hours. The six-member team returned to Kathmandu on Nov 5. Members will leave Nepal on Nov 8. Leader is waiting for trekking group to lead to Khumbu or Annapurna circuit. Castelnuovo probably will leave the country on 15 Dec. Fomagalli had to leave the expedition team from Sherpani Col due to headache and stomach problem on Oct 19. He arrived Kathmandu on Oct 25. Castelnuovo is thinking to come for Dhaulagiri in the spring.
