| Route Notes | High point between West Col and foot of SE Ridge. Andersson and Jonsson climbed up to 6250m "without any problems, but we never had any chance to make summit attempt." We never had any chance to do any climbing because of problems with porters, food - porters did not do a good carry, bad equipment such as tents, badly equipped porters, and in the end after doing his job about carrying load, a dismissed porter died in Khare [near Mera La] (on his way home, says trekking agent). Agent says this death, reported to team, unnerved members. An another reason for abandoning climb, says agent, was one Swedish member (he doesn't know name) said he was sick, but agent thinks illness might have been imaginary (psychosomatic). |
| Accidents | Porter Norbu Borjirel, 35, died on his way from BC (altitude sickness 22 Oct) |
