Route Notes C2 at foot of SE Ridge. Chapman, Ferre-D'Amare, Pancott, Walsh and Mrs. Walsh climbed Island Peak. The original plan was to reach Baruntse BC via Tumlingtar. But had to change it due to Maoist problem in that area. The Mera La route took a long time. Therefore, the expedition had a short climbing duration. The team returned to KTM from Lukla on May 21 and to leave on 24th. Sherpas: L. P. Sherpa, Samduk Sherpa, Pema Sherpa (same details of Jagged Globe Expedition to Baruntse in 2000 and 2001). Two others, Pemba Sherpa and Pasang Nurbu Sherpa, are not climbing Sherpas.
