| Route Notes | BC near small lake WSW of West Col (normal site) ABC (used only to store supplies - never slept in) C1 just east-northeast of West Col on lower Barun Glacier C2 SE Ridge (took 2 small tents from C1) High point at 7000m at 1st peak on summit ridge. 4 Oct summit party stopped before highest peak because deep snow (sometimes to waist) on this sharp ridge. Too difficult and dangerous to fix rope there. |
