Route Notes BC close to West Col C1 below the Col (established on 12th). Oct 13 C1 below the col. Established on 12th. Oct 14 Gilding, Harris, Rowland, Woolrich attempted summit. Gilding and Harris reached up to 6950m (approx). Miss Rowland and Miss Woolrich reached about 6650m. They found difficulty in climbing. The team returned via Mera La -> Lukla to KTM on Oct 27. Member Ainsworth and Rowland leave Nepal on Oct 29. Sherpas also suggested not to continue the climb due to snow conditions. Sherpas: Nima Temba Sherpa (Rolwaling), 3 times Everest, been to Cho Oyu, etc Somdak Sherpa and Pasang Temba Sherpa - both from Makalu region Woolrich is going to work in the friendship clinic in Meghauli, Chitwan for about 8 months. Porter Pasang Tsering Tamang (Jun 49) died due to stroke in Tangnag on Oct 22 - not related to AMS. They wanted to helicopter to lift him to KTM but weather so bad. He went up to 6000m.
