| Route Notes | BC south of summit ABC at foot of face directly below East Col at 6100m C1 on South Face C2 on South Face. Mountain has way wide flat South Face and low on this is a buttress and route lay up this face to col on East Ridge. When established C2 had bad weather, went down, up again and tried alpine-style ascent from C2 on 10th Oct, but 2 ft snow fell in storm that came up and descended to C1 that evening and to BC on 11th. Lots and lots of snow. Now no more time: porters expected on 15th. Barchula airfield good for expeditions: porters and food available there (and roads in autumn very bad). |
