Route Notes BC at Annapurna I BC ABC at Hiunchuli ABC (north of Hiunchuli) High point at West Ridge of Hiunchuli. Sherpas went up from ABC to find route; after few hours reported huge crevasse impossible to cross (but Czech on Hiunchuli said there was no crevasse) and they left for BC. 2 members alone to search route and went to 4900m-5000m and back to ABC. Sherpas came back to ABC on 17 Oct and said they did not want to climb this way, but to abandon attempt and 2 Belgians, not wanting to climb alone, also abandoned climb. Snowfall and weather would have prevented their reaching top.
