Route Notes 15 Oct organized dump/depot camp at foot of glacier at 4500m and then Annapurna South glacier icefall 16-18 Oct. Left this high point, went across the Tent Peak climbing a bit up it for view of Annapurna South, but couldn't find safe enough route. Icefall was collapsing and big hanging serac walls of Himalchuli and face of Annapurna South's North Ridge. Icefall in center really requires ladders. This was guided climb with clients. 2 fast climbers might make out all right. Stayed on in area climbing Tent Peak and trekking in area after removing fixed rope in icefall and clearing dump camp. Quite safe route once one gets above icefall on to ridge. Could get to ridge in a day if already acclimatized and moving feet and light and if more snow and snow bridges in icefall (was very dry in wind - October).
Accidents Diprima serious altitude sickness before BC; nothing else
