| Route Notes | BC 14/09 4200m Bv1 30/09 5600m HPt 01/10 6000m by Duchene, Jourdain and Sancier. Team climbed left from BC over a heavily crevassed glacier. It was very difficult to get through and they had to do a lot of route finding. When they reached 5600m, they set up a bivouac and stayed one night. Next morning they reached the bottom of a gully left of the rock face on the bottom of the ridge. There was a lot of rockfall which got too dangerous, so they descended from 6000m and went back to BC. Igonenc was the expedition leader for both the Annapurna I South Face and the Annapurna South East Ridge expeditions. He was listed only on the Annapurna I permit. |
