Route Notes Nepali staff left KTM on 14 April, reaching BC on the 17 April. From there they reached C1 first on 19 April, made a deposit and went back there on the 21 April for sleeping. Slept there again on 22 April, then reached C2 the day after (putting 400m of fixed rope), made a deposit there and went back to BC for a rest. The team reached again C2 on the 27 April, slept there and fixed 500m of static rope on a long ridge traverse up to 200m below initially planned C2 on the 28 April. As they didn't have rope anymorem they had to go back to BC the day after (29 April) to get new ones. On the 30 April the Chinese team arrived in BC and both teams had a meeting. 6 Chinese team = 5 climbing members + 1 BC manager (not climbing) On the 5 May the Chinese group reached C1, arrived there at 3 pm in windy conditions, and decided at 5 pm that they did not want to climb. According to Tshiring Jangbu Sherpa, everyday the weather was the same: clear sky until 11 am-12 pm, then wind, snow, bad weather. The team slept there anyway and went back to BC the day after. On the 7 May, the Chinese went back to Pokhara, spent 4 nights there, then went back to KTM on the 11 May. After the departure of the Chinese, the Nepali team cleaned the mountain up to C2, but found it to be too dangerous to take off the ropes on the traverse between C2 and C3. They left BC on the 9 May. Fixed rope: 900m (400m from C1 to C2, 500m from C2 to lower C3) Sherpas: Tshiring Jangbu Sherpa, (17/4/2034) 1/8/1977, Rakshi Kharka, Lokhim-9, Solu Pburba Gyaljang Sherpa, (2047/7/20) 24/10/1990 Cherku Sherpa, Sotang, Solukhumbu Nima "Chhiri" Nuru Sherpa, 24/03/1982, Harichi, Khotang
