Route Notes C1 whole group moved to C1 on North Face of NW Ridge High point at just below the Dome. Birds attacked camps in 1 and 2 dumped tent to steal food. On 23 brought book material from proposed C1, good move for it snowed in the afternoon. Evening heavy snow. 24th morning 40 cm snow in ABC and still snowing. 25th 60 cm in BC. 1-1/2 cm in ABC and still snowing. 25th evening 2 cm in snow in ABC. 28th moved and Pokhara by helicopter. Fran Khasser and Schoenwald on the other DAV expedition joined them and reached C1 on 19th Oct. High point of 6200m reached on 19th by Franz, Kurze, Mr & Mrs Mlynarczyk; on 22nd by 2 Mlynarczyks, Mueller and Prommensberger; and on 23rd by Mr Mlynarczyk alone to bring down gear left there.
