| Route Notes | During expedition the weather was unsettled. A lot of clouds and afternoon precipitation. On 9 May team left Wilson at C2 at 9 am and reached C3 at 6 pm. They had 1 day at C3. Wilson received weather forecast from Boulder [Colorado] on 6 May which predicted a violent storm 12 hours later. Even though the team was ready for summit push they decided to go down. They left C3 at 6 am on 11 May. Everybody apart from Riggs and Clement descended to BC. Riggs and Clement spent one night at C1 as they were hoping to go back up. However, due to the bad snow conditions they decided to descend to BC on 12 May to join others. |
