Route Notes BC at 4800m south of Hongde airport & NNE of the Dome C1 at 5400m North Ridge leading to NW Ridge (& on top) C2 at 5900m North Ridge. On high point 3 Oct Carlin, Ridley, Soren, Michaels and on 4 Oct Reilly, Michaels and Ridley to have another look to try to find a way around 10m wide crevasse but didn't see one, so climb finished. No time left anyway for summit try and snow was very deep which meant slow climbing. Had C2 taken away by avalanche on 21 Sept; this made team to split into 2 parties so not whole expedition in C2 together. From 20 to 27 Sept 4 days of snowfall constantly and causing many avalanches. In C1 side blast hit camp but no damage (also on about 21 Sept).
