Route Notes BC east of Sabje Khola next to lake C1 on a rib going to NW Ridge C2 on same rib High point at 5900m on rib leading to NW Ridge. From BC to C1 is rock scrambling to rib, where pitched C1. From C2 mostly rock but higher up on glacier with steep part just below camp site. On 22nd high point of 5900m reached and "increased difficulty and lack of experience" stopped them. Mark Ferris fell into crevasse, got out of it and kept up; John Hollensteiner not experienced on so much glacier; both felt they'd had enough so down to BC same day and climb finished without actually having reached NW Ridge.
