Route Notes After acclimatizing on the E Ridge of Annapurna III, we rested a few days in BC and then started our attempt on 26 April. We had a reasonable weather forecast and the first day up to about 6000m went without any problems. We climbed fast and belayed less than 200m that day. The next morning we started climbing on the actual ridge. We climbed 7 pitches in pretty bad weather and the terrain proved to be tricky and difficult. Almost all pitches required some aid climbing, but most of all the weather and bad snow conditions we found on the ridge slowed us down. On day three we climbed 6 slightly more difficult pitches in the same weather and snow conditions up to the break/shoulder at about 6500m. We spend the night there and then the whole next day to get back to BC.
