| Route Notes | BC at east of Machhapuchare on grass C1 at East Ridge, NE of pass between ANN3 and ANN4 Went to C1 on East Ridge for acclimatization after fixing rope on their pillar to 5500m. From C1 could see pillar and decided upper part of pillar could not be climbed in alpine style with upper part very steep rock covered with snow and abandoned idea of climbing pillar about 15 Oct after one night in camp. Down to BC and then went up to E Ridge near their C1 site and went c100m up ridge but again not possible in alpine style (very steep) and from camp at about same place as earlier C1 made another camp to go up ridge. Had many days of bad weather (snowfall). |
