Route Notes C2 below the Dablam. Fixed camps together [with French]. On 19th decended to BC due to bad weather. On 22nd went up to C1, 23rd C2 and 24th summit two of them. One member Fernandez could not climb due to frostbitten toes. The French team was ahead of them on the summit. The expedition team used fixed ropes put up by others. They could not say who fixed them. The leader was saying there were many ropes. In red tower he found about six lines of rope. He said too many ropes is a problem. He appreciated the construction of toilets in BC. The team arrived Kathmandu on 29th from Lukla and will leave Nepal on Nov 4. PS: Mr. Gonzalez is leading spring [2000] expedition of seven members to Everest from south.
