Route Notes BC at normal site C1 lower than normal site High point at site for C2 top of yellow tower. Billy O'Donnell had leg injury before arriving at BC and wanted to go home immediately, his uncle felt he had to go with him and then hired guide Sullivan to go with them and his (Sullivan's) girlfriend Evans had come to be with him, so all 4 of them left BC on 1st Dec having arrived there on 28 Nov (Williams arrived at BC on 25 Nov, Edwards on 26th). These 4 never attempted to go above BC. Edwards, Williams and 2 "Sherpas" left BC on 1st Dec to climb and made C1 that day. 2 Dec Williams and "Sherpas" up to check fixed ropes were in place and went to top of yellow tower at 6100m which is site of C2 and back to C1 for night. Now Edwards decided he was too tired to continue climb. All left C1 on 3rd, Edwards first, walking in 7 hours to BC while Williams and "Sherpas" up to 6100m to retrieve gear, down to BC in 3 hours.
