Route Notes ABC used just to deposit gear C1 set up on the 6th Oct C2 set up on the 12th Oct C3 set up on the 12th Oct. Berryman, Scott started from C3 at 7:30 am. Batson of morning started at 6:30 am from C2 slept at C3 and returned to C2 to sleep. Thompson started from C3 at 7:30 am and slept at C2. Payne, Palmer and Greening started from C3 at 6:00 am and returned to C3 to sleep. Venables group started from C3 at 7:00 am and returned to C3 to sleep. Rollert from the Canadian group was with Payne on 18th Oct. Russians were coming up. 2 Swiss were also going up. This is the 50th anniversary of RAF Mountaineering Association.
