| Route Notes | BC approx put at lower site C1 200 lower than normal site C3 at top wall. Pitched BC at lower altitude due to lack of enough space as the Czech expedition had occupied most of space at the normal BC areas. The leader and two Sherpas had to go up and down for looking campsites for four days. During those days team members were sent to Kalapattar. The expedition had fixed ropes starting from C1 to summit. There were other ropes fixed by the Japanese expedition. Member Ferdinand Stehle did not climb. Campsites were clean - everything was taken down despite the crowd. The weather was sunny all the time after expedition reached the BC. |
