| Route Notes | BC with many other teams. Many ropes on mountain: "all mountain roped." 16 Oct down to BC from C1. Now many clouds and decide must go up quickly so 17th moved C1 to 6000m and all members went to summit next day: started up from 6000m at 5:30 am and arrived summit at 12:00 to 12:30 pm (first time in Himalaya for all except leader). Very cold; down from top at 1:00 pm to C1 at 7:00 pm, spent 30 minutes in Czech's C3. Very slow in last part of descent because snow falling and steep route and then dark fell; had to wait 1 hour while others moved on route. 19th to BC. |
