| Route Notes | BC at normal site ABC on SW Ridge C2 on ridge (start of big ridge) High point at yellow tower (C2 normal site). Lot of snowfall and wind, cold wind; trouble getting through snow to go from BC to ABC; and needed 2 porters to take loads to ABC and with sirdar sick, trek took extra time to get to ABC. Worked with American team in mid-April. Made C2 on 14th but did not slept in there. One member got sick now (Landsverk) from altitude and hard work and helped to go to BC. Left BC 17th to go home; needed 3 days from C2 to reach summit and had not enough time left to meet flight date from KTM to home. Miss Edset wants to return to Ama Dablam to become 1st Norwegian woman summiter. |
