Route Notes BC at normal site High point at 1st serac. Alpine-style from BC and reached 5600m, then down having left tent at 5600m and down to BC; weather bad. 28 April reached 5600m and up to 5800m on ridge on 29th again up and 30th up to 6100m when big rock fell and cut rope; Valerio fell few meters (not hurt) and now decided to descend. Down to 5800m and slept there on 1 May and to BC 2 May. Ruffino decided to leave BC and after discussion other 2 also made [same] decision. Bernard got to 5200m for plan to attempt West Face, but after arriving at BC [decided] not to try face because 2 members having altitude problems and 2 remaining not enough for face.
