Route Notes BC same as all others (normal site) C1 on SW Ridge. At C1 actually used Korean tent from outumn, well-stocked with French food; also at 6300m another French-stocked tent. Dellatore, Demarchi and Giovanoli to C1 on 30th, having waited for official winter season to start on 1st Dec. On 1st both [Dellatore and Giovanoli] left C1 at 6 am. Giovanoli retreated at 100m above C1 "in no good condition" and stayed in C1 [while Dellatore to top]; both to BC on 2nd. Demarchi from C1 on 3 Dec with Dawa Tamang, a friend, and reached 6300m and back to BC because strong wind. Giovanoli on 5th from BC 8 am and at 8 pm reached 6200m biv. 6th 100m up, wind and cold and back to BC at 3 pm. Other two to 5700m only: "not good condition." 6th decided to stop. Weather not so good and too many people crowded onto ridge (10-15 people this day on ridge).
