Route Notes 4 members made summit bid on 24th; Bridgeman and Robinson turned back at 6400m because of hard ice; Beadle and Thompson reached final serac band to 6550m and turned back because of snow falling and down to C3. 2nd summit party intending to make bid also from C3, but never above C3 all got back to BC on 1st. Geher to C1 "decided it wasn't for him" and left very early. Smith and Wells left after Spaniard's fatal fall and Bridgeman after his summit bid.
