Route Notes BC as same as US-UK expedition's BC (new and higher normal site) High point at base of West Face from SW Ridge. High point reached 11:30 20 Apr. Had used up all rope, but blue ice above let them "not feel safe soloing." Stopped climb because of this and face that had loose rock above C2 which led to decision not to go through this area after carrying loads to any C3, but to go alpine-style above C2. There was some rock fall from this, but helmets were good protection (and very much indeed in spring time).
