Route Notes BC at lake above Mingbo (near Drangka Khola SSE of Mingbo village) C1 at point 5705m on Schneider map. 27th Sep 4 to C1 and 28th 2 of them to C2. 29th same 2 while Todd and Simmonds to C2. 30th Perkins and Cave to 6400m and then same morning down because of very bad snow conditions with steep section ahead with no belays to BC to Mingbo (BC had been moved). Other 2 met descending of men and also down (to C2 only). 1st Oct Todd and Simmonds in descent met Swift and Richmond coming up from C1 and they too descended. Heavy snowfall followed. 9th Oct BC struck: all left mountain except Todd and Perkins who went to C1; slight snow. 11th Oct to C2 and 13th Oct up to 6100m. Now snow much harder and again snow dangerous with no belays so down to C1 same day. 14th Oct to Mingbo (end of climb). All old fixed ropes under snow, no rope for fixing.
