Route Notes Report from Cyrille Vuidel: Approach: Phakding, Namche, Machhermo, Gokyo, Gokyo Ri climbing on 21 Apr, Lobuche via Chola Pass, Ever BC, Gorak Shep, Kalapattar, Lobuche East summit on 27 Apr, Pheriche, Pangboche. BC 29/04 C1 02/05 5800m C2 04/05 6000m Smt 05/05 by Vuidel, Vasey, Dukchung Lama and Wangja Bhote. Vuidel, Vasey, Dukchung Lama and Wangja Bhote started their summit push at 23:48 hrs on 04 May. They reached the summit at 11:48 hrs on 5 May. Stayed on the summit for about 20 minutes; it was bit cloudy, otherwise fair weather. They returned C2 at 10 pm and next day 6 May down to BC. The two summiters went to Chhukung, Island Peak BC and summited it on 10 May, back to Chhukung. Climbed Chhukung Ri by Vuidel alone. Then came to a village after Tengboche, Namche, Lukla. Carter’s high point was C1. He did not want to go up due to bad weather forecast. Vuidel said that they were blocked for 1-2 hours by the SST's 3 climbers and 7 Sherpas on their way up. Carter left BC on 3 May and the rest on 8 May. Sherpas above BC: 2 Fixed rope: Used already there. Other peaks: Lobuche East on 27 Apr by all three; Island Pk on 10 May. Raina Lal was a High Himalaya Adventure [??] client on the Top Himlaaya Guides permit.
