| Route Notes | Andersen climbed Lobuche peak and returned KTM before BC from Pheriche due to cough on 29 Oct. Wu reached 100m below summit on 31 Oct and couldn't move due to high attitude sickness. His Sherpa Karma used oxygen immediately, but it was useless. The Sherpa brought him back to C3 and called insurance company for the helicopter rescue. They (Wu and Karma) arrived C3 at 3 pm on 31 Oct, but the helicopter couldn't land due to bad weather. On the next day (1st Nov) they were brought from C3 at 8:30 pm by helicopter and back to Lukla then to KTM, went to Swagon Hospital with another Chinese female climber (Ms. Zhao Dan) from Imagine team (Mingma Gyalje). Wu had cough/chest and knee problem and got a little bit frostbitten on his right hand little finger. Bernier left high camp at 11:30 pm the night before summiting, summited at 6:30 am on 4 Nov, stayed 30 minutes, then descended to C1 at 4:40 pm. It was very windy on their summit day(s). Bernier trekked back to KTM on 9 Nov. |
