| Route Notes | The primary team led by Conan Bliss arrived at base camp on 25 Oct and summited on 4 Nov. Earlier, Kristin Bennett and Ang Phurba Sherpa summited behind the rope-fixing team on 10 Oct. Conan Bliss - 15 July 2020 We reached C1 3 days after arriving at BC, and then the next day just climbed to C2 but didn't sleep there, just an acclimatization day. We slept in C2 only on the summit push, which was the day/night before summitting, Nov 2/3. Team left C2 on 3 Nov at 11:30 pm, summited on 4 Nov at 7:40, stayed 30 minutes, then descended to BC arriving at 9 pm. Great snow conditions, great weather. We had two Ama Dablam expeditions this year; both were successful. Kristin Bennett was on the first; I guided the second. (This is why I only filled out for my expedition.) Kristin did summit on October 10th with Guide/Sherpa Aang Phurba Sherpa. In addition, he fixed the lines to the summit prior to their summit push. I don't have any of the other additional information on their climb, other than Phurba informed me they had a long summit day. |
