| Route Notes | BC 24/04 4600m C1 26/04 5700m C2 01/05 6100m C3 02/05 6300m Smt 03/05 by Zhumayev, Polyakov and two Sherpas. Zhumayev and Polyakov started from C3 (located on small platform just underneath normal C3) at 2:30 am. Sherpas had started from C2 at midnight. They reached Zhumayev and Polyakov at 2 am and everyone started together at 2:30 am. Sherpas, Zhumayev and Polyakov at summit at 11:45 am. Mazur had turned around at 6300m because ropes were icy and he wasn’t too experienced. Summit team on summit for maybe 1 hour. Polyakov and Zhumayev back to C3 at 4:40 pm. Sherpas and Alexey back to C2. Team left BC on 05/05 by heli to Ktmdu. Fixed rope: Last 200m to summit Oxygen: Taken to C1 for emergency, not used Sherpas: Ongchhu Sherpa (S) Phurba Sherpa (S) |
