Route Notes From HotNews.ro, 25 Oct 2018 Laura Mares, legitimized the Alpine Club Carpathian Bucharest Division Elite Mountaineering, accompanied by Justin Ionescu, coach mountaineering and climbing, managed on 22 October at 10 am, the ascent to the highest point of Ama Dablam (6812m), without Sherpa support and without the use of bottled oxygen, according to the Romanian Federation of climbing and climbing. The expedition began on October 5 in Kathmandu, the two following a necessary acclimatization Valley Kumbu to Ama Dablam base camp and several mountain tours, during which they arranged themselves two intermediate camps to the top. The team reached the peak of the classic and most popular route, the south-west. The rise began in Camp 2, at 2 am and lasted 8:00, and covers a route very technical and steep overhangs in places involving mixed climbing on rock, ice and snow. Its sharp edges and steep faces make Ama Dablam be called the Matterhorn of the Himalayas.
