Route Notes BC 23/10 4600m C1 27/10 5650m C2 07/11 6050m Smt 08/11 by James Dean, Whitney Dean, Lakpa Rita Sherpa, Ngima Tenzing Sherpa, Fur Kancha Sherpa at 8:20 am. Summiters started from C2 at 1:15 am, at summit at 8:20 am, down to C1 at 8 pm. Good weather. On summit push Hunter developed HAPE at 6450m and Spitzer went down with him to C1. Stark got a cold and had to abandon expedition at BC. Follows and Solmonson reached C2 on 28/10 but did not spend the night. Solmonson had problems with his knees on the descent and decided to abandon the expedition. Follows decided to abandon the expedition due to a chest infection. On top of that the weather forecast was bad for a few days. Team left BC on 09/11. Oxygen: used by David Hunter for medical emergency at C1. Sherpas: Lakpa Rita Sherpa (S), Thami (lives in Seattle) Karma Sarki Sherpa (6450m), Phortse Ang Norbu Sherpa (C2), Thami Ngima Tenzing Sherpa (S), Thami Phura Kancha Sherpa (S), Thami
Accidents Hunter was heli-rescued from C1 on 9/11 at 9 am (is OK now).
