Route Notes Badescu fell sick on acclimatization climb of Mera Peak. She was suffering from fever. After Mera Peak climb they tried to cross the Amphu Laptsa into Khumbu, but she was too sick. They flew to Lukla by helicopter and trekked to Ama Dablam BC after some rest at Lukla. They arrived at BC on 26 Oct. On 27 Oct Badescu had a rest day at BC and Ionescu climbed up to just before C2 to check out the conditions higher up the mountain. He returned to BC the same day. On 28 Oct both members climbed up to C1 and stayed there for 2 nights. On 30 Oct they returned to BC because Badescu didn't recover from sickness. Ionescu was also not well, he didn't acclimatize well. On 31 Oct they left BC for Lukla.
