Route Notes BC 14/10 4500m C1 17/10 5600m C2 24/10 5900m Smt 25/10 by all members at 10:30 am. Team did whole acclimatization on Ama Dablam, not much trekking or climbing before. On summit day they started from C2 at 1:30 am, arrived at summit at 10:30 am. Stayed on top for one hour, then descended to C2 (arrival: 9 pm). Weather was very cold and windy, especially from C3 to summit. On the descent from summit they saw a German climber (~55 years old, name unknown) who had fallen and looked quite bad, possibly suffering from AMS as well. He was together with his Sherpa, who looked tired as well. They didn't talk much, but stayed with them for maybe 1-2 hours. The Sherpa eventually called per satellite phone two other Sherpas to come up and help the German client down. After that phone call, Spaniards continued their descent to C2. They saw the German climber again a few days later at BC, they didn't talk to him, but he looked alright. Team was back at BC on 26 Oct at 6 pm. No support staff above BC, they carried everything themselves. Team left BC on 30 Oct. Oxygen: Not taken, not used.
Accidents Jose Torrents Mendez frostbite at middle finger of left hand.
